Recycle - Update
At CORE Foods, we pride ourselves on delivering fresh bars to you while considering the environment.
We opt for eco-friendly packaging materials for our standard insulated shipping and choose to reduce, reuse and recycle whenever possible.
If you choose the standard insulated shipping option, please use the below guidelines to dispose of the shipping materials responsibly.
We also offer an Eco-Friendly Shipping option which will skip the insulation, ice packs, & plastic bag and ship your CORE Bars in just the recyclable cardboard box.
Your CORE Bars will ship frozen from our warehouse and thaw in transit. If they arrive at room temperature, that’s okay! CORE Bars stay fresh at room temperature for up to one week. Just pop them in the fridge when they arrive until you’re ready to enjoy! Please select Eco-Friendly Shipping at checkout for this option.
BOXES
HOLD CORE BARS DURING TRANSPORTOur boxes are made with partially recycled cardboard. The caddies holding CORE Bars should be cut open and used to hold bars in your fridge. Both are 100% recyclable.
HOW TO DISPOSE: All boxes used to ship and hold CORE Bars can be disposed of in your household recycling.
INSULATION
PROTECT CORE BARS DURING TRANSPORTOur green foam liner is a made entirely from corn starch and is 100% biodegradable.
HOW TO DISPOSE: Remove the foam panels from the plastic film and place them in your sink. Run cold or warm water over the foam panels and they will safely dissolve. Recycle plastic film with other #4 plastics.
ICE PACKS
KEEP CORE BARS COOL DURING TRANSPORTOur ice packs are reusable, refrigerant gel packs.
HOW TO DISPOSE: Gel packs can be frozen and reused. To dispose, cut outer pouch open to remove the gel inside. Gel can be disposed of in the garbage. Pouch can be recycled according to state and local requirements.
PLASTIC BAG
PROTECTS CORE BARS FROM MOISTURE DURING TRANSPORTOur plastic bags are made from latex free, high clarity polyethylene film. They are categorized as recyclable #4 plastic.
HOW TO DISPOSE: Check your state and local requirements and recycle with other #4 plastics.
Please note CORE Bar wrappers should be disposed of in your regular waste.
